2 no of 4"x2" channel are fitted with the chip spreader. This is to be adjusted with the truck chassis and will be mounted with the help of nuts and bolts as per drilled holes on the chip spreader channel. Additional holes to be drilled for rigid fixing of the chip spreader

Slotted Roller |

Slotted Roller is 72 inch, long 6.5 inch dia, 1/2 inch thick MS pipe. There are 19 numbers of slots, which is 3/16 inch deep and 3/16 inch width. Bearing and bearing housing are provided at both the end of the spreader roller for free rotation. |
Slotted Roller Driving Sprocket |

Sprocket of 4" dia is fitted on the extended shaft from the slotted roller by lock and key. This sprocket drives the slotted roller for disposal of stone chip. |
Chips Guide Cover |

Chip guide cover is made by 16 BSW MS sheet. This cover has been given to protect splashing of chip from the spreader unit. |
Spreader Adjusting System |

There are six nos. of 1" thick MS buffer plates are placed with lading spring for adjusting the spreading gap of the chip spreader. It can be adjusted from 6 mm to 16 mm opening. The gap has to be adjusted as the size of the chip. Chip spreading can increase or decrease with the adjusting of these six no of plate by 1" dia bolts. Clockwise turn will decrease the gap and vice versa.

Clutching Mechanism |

Mechanical Clutching mechanism is used to clutch the drive attachment in truck wheel at the time of spreading operation and declutching at the time of idle mode

Drive Mechanism in the truck wheel |

The chip-spreading roller is driven from the truck back wheel by drive attachment in the truck wheel. It consists of chain and spocket (6 inch dia) and changing the size of drive and driven sprockets can change speed of the roller. Drive sprockets are to be changed for different spreading quality. |
