The
Thin Wall Tube Sampler is designed to take undistributed samples
on cohesive type soils and clays. The thin steel tube containing
the sample may be removed from the sampler and used a container
for transportation to the laboratory, thus avoiding damage to
the sample or costly delays.

One of the most popular types of soil samplers the Split Tube
or Split Spoon Sampler. The sampler is a tube split lengthwise
and held together by head and hardened shoe. The sampler is forced
info the soil by jacking hydraulic pressure or driving. The sampler
is equipped with a ball check valve in the head which prevents
washing out of the sample while being hoisted from the hole. The
ball check can be removed if not required. When with drawn from
the hole the sampler shoe and head are unscrewed and the sampler
opens like a book.
