The cast aluminum constructions of the C18 Base Provides a hard and level working surface for slump testing on the job site. The octagonal base, which measures 15” (381mm) across, has coast-in cleats on the underside to help dig into the ground surface. Two clamps side over the foot grips of a standard slump cone and hold it securely while filling and rodding. A combination swivel carrying handle also doubles as the point from which slump of concrete is measured when the handle is raised to a position perpendicular to the base plate. This eliminates the conventional and some what awkward measuring procedure of using the rod and top of the slump cone.
